Dear US Figure Skating Clubs:

We are proud to introduce to you the Latino International Skating Coalition.

We are a 501{C}3 non-profit organization created in 2000. Based out of New Jersey in the United States, we continue our development of figure skating as a recreational sport among the Latin community.

Our Mission is quite simple. We want to reach out into every community to attract Latin/Hispanic people to the wonderful sport of figure skating. There are many ways to achieve this goal, and lately we have started to form partnerships with local ice rinks and other organizations in producing free skating exhibitions. This winter will have our first holiday show.

I want to invite anyone to participate. Our hope is to reach out to the community and show that "figure skating" can be enjoyed by everyone, including the Latin Community. We encourage participation in the Skate Programs that their local ice rinks have to offer and introduce them to local figure skating clubs in their area for those who enjoy the spirit of competition. Our hope (at LISC) is to do more of these shows and possibly skating clinics with professionals and high-level athletes to further promote our sport. Perhaps in the future we will be able to provide scholarships and support to help defray costs in this expensive sport.

If you know anyone that is interested, please direct them to our website

Take care,
Mrs. Arsenette Reiter, President
